the Way You See Disability
Every day, we make generalizations and stereotype people with disabilities—and we may not even realize we're doing it. Look beyond what you see at first glance and celebrate, don't separate.

No matter how different we are, we all have something in common. Find that something—and make the promise to stand together.

Inspired by the American Sign Language symbol for "friendship," the Easterseals promise is a reminder that we're all united. It represents a commitment to celebrating people with disabilities and including them in every aspect of their communities.

Here's how you can show your support:
  1. Take a photo of you and a friend making the Easterseals promise.

  2. Caption your photo with what you and your friend have in common. Make sure to tag @eastersealssocal and #CelebrateDontSeparate.

  3. Tag a friend in your post and keep the message going.
